Welcome to the BFC Prayer Ministry page.  This ministry is a church wide ministry where every member is encouraged to take part in prayer; whether it is to pray silently as others pray, or to be a prayer leader. It is our goal that Birmingham First Seventh–day Adventist Church to be a house of prayer and for everyone to know we are a praying people.

Each week a member of the Prayer Warrior Team is responsible to be in charge of prayer during the worship service as Pastor Doerner presents the message for that Sabbath.   We pray for the pastor as he preaches, for those who are hearing the message, and for the out pouring of the Holy Spirit upon our church.

We also meet after church each Sabbath to pray for one another, our church, and other requests.  This is ongoing each week, and all members and non-members, as well, are welcome to come and take part in prayer.  Some people do not feel comfortable praying out loud and they do not have to. 

This ministry also has e-mail requests that go out to the membership whenever I receive a prayer request.  I receive requests sometimes once a day and sometimes several times per day, and I do try to get them all out in a timely manner.  If you wish your prayer to be kept private please let me know and it will not be sent out.

It is our goal that Birmingham First Seventh–day Adventist Church to be a house of prayer and for everyone to know we are a praying people.  Prayer is a vital part of our spiritual walk with Christ and as the bible says in, “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”  (Matthew 18:20)  We need to come together and pray corporately for the out pouring of the Holy Spirit, for it is then we will be equipped to honor the great commission to, “Go.”
